Brian Watson

Head Coach

Coach Brian Watson is in his 11th season as head coach of the Lady Huskies.  He is from Peoria, IL were he was an All Conference basketball player at Manual High School. He came to Wahpeton in 2010 after spending 1 year as the girls JV and varsity assistant coach at Zimmerman High School in Minnesota.  Coach Watson also spent 7 years as a volunteer in the Rogers Area Youth Basketball Association(RAYBA) coaching house and travel teams for both boys and girls.

Coach Watson played his college basketball at Minot State University and the University of North Dakota. He was on the NDCAC All Conference team for both seasons in Minot.  While at UND he was an NCC All Conference Honorable Mention, team captain, and most valuable Player for "The Sioux" in his senior season.

Coach Watson works at Circle of Nations School, in Wahpeton, where he is the Dean Of Students.  During the summer Coach Watson runs the Brian Watson Basketball Skills Camp in coordination with Wahpeton Parks and Recreation.  The camp provides basketball skill development for boys and girls in grades 3-12.

In 2017 Coach Watson was named Eastern Dakota Conference Coach Of The Year and North Dakota Class A Girls Basketball Coach Of The Year.

Patrick Gulan

Assistant Coach

Coach Patrick Gulan is in his 5th season as Assistant Coach of the Lady Huskies. He is from from Hankinson, ND, were he attended Hankinson High School. After high school, Coach Gulan earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Comprehensive Science Education from North Dakota State University. Coach Gulan teaches  Science at Wahpeton High School. In his spare time Coach Gulan enjoys watching and playing sports, playing guitar, and storm chasing.
